Overview
Working with the vendor Production Club, we created all digital content for Super Bowl LVI's opening ceremonies in Los Angeles, CA. As players warmed up on the football field, Zedd played a DJ set complete with custom visuals tailored to Sofi Stadium. After the DJ set, the championship teams (Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs) took turns triumphantly storming the field to thunderous applause and energizing visual effects.

My Role
As a 3D/Motion Designer, I worked with Production Club, a creative vendor, to animate digital content for Sofi Stadium's infinity screen and ribbons for Super Bowl LVI.
During Zedd's warmup DJ set, I concepted and animated custom visuals that represented the spirit of Los Angeles.
When each football team ran out for the first time, I animated energizing colors and patterns on the stadium's ribbon screens.

Design Challenge
Sofi Stadium is home to the largest digital display, a 360 degree double-sided scoreboard known as the Infinity Screen. Our challenge was animating digital content for this complex surface, as well as the ribbon screens that wrap around the stadium bleachers. We needed to create impactful, themed visuals while also prioritizing clarity and legibility.

Content Mapping
Using an Adobe After Effects template engineered by Production Club, we mapped hundreds of content pieces to the physical LED screens inside Sofi Stadium.
Result
Super Bowl LVI earned 112.3 million viewers, the most watched TV broadcast in the five years preceding it. We created stories and motifs that uniquely evoked the spirit of Los Angeles, and our contributions set the tone for the sports entertainment that followed.
